Happy Thursday everyone!
Like many of you, I am obsessed with using Pinterest to find recipes and decor ideas. It is a useful tool for many talented bloggers to share their content in order to get more readers and followers. Since joining MadeFromPinterest.net as a monthly contributor a couple of months ago, I’ve loved just skimming through my Pinterest feed and choosing what to make for each guest post. For each guest post, I choose a recipe that I have pinned on Pinterest, then I re-create it, following the ingredients list and directions as closely as possible and finally take photos of the final product. Just like any recipe post that I create, except these posts feature another bloggers recipe. It is so much fun for me, it lets me try out different recipes that I have been wanting to create from Pinterest. We all have thousands of pins and so many boards that we pin to, but let’s be honest, how many of those pins are actually recreated?!
One thing that most bloggers dislike about Pinterest is that people do not acknowledge the original author of the recipe. Have you ever noticed at a party that when asked for a recipe of a dish, the person most likely says “I found it on Pinterest!”. Although that is great that Pinterest serves to provide so many amazing recipes, most people do not reference the blogger/website that the recipe was published. Which is why I usually reference the website for recipes. I follow so many different blogs and check in on them often, it’s like reading someones life story in every post. Over the past few years, one of my favorite bloggers was Olena from iFoodreal.com, I started reading her blog ever since she first started posting recipes, it’s fascinating to watch her blog grow and her opinions change on health and food consumption. So this month when I was choosing a recipe to create these Clean Eating Key Lime Bars caught my eye on Pinterest, they also happened to be made by Olena from iFoodreal. They also happen to be no-bake bars, and totally healthy! Score! For the recipe head on over to Made From Pinterest to check out my monthly guest post. Hope you are excited about these bars as much as I am.
