Pimentos, sharp cheddar, and cream cheese are whipped together to create the perfect classic Pimento Cheese Spread.
This pimento cheese spread is popular in the South. I first tried this cheese spread on crispy crackers at a work event, since then I have been hooked. When a coworker shared the recipe with me and I realized how easy it was to make, I had to recreate this spread at home.
This is a one step recipe, toss all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl and whip together until perfectly blended. No chopping required, or cooking ;). The only time consuming part of this recipe is waiting for the spread to chill for all of the flavors to fuse together. I’ve heard great reviews about using this spread to make a grilled cheese sandwich, I will definitely be trying it out in the next few days.
- In a mixing bowl, add all of the above ingredients. Mix on medium speed, with the paddle attachment, until the spread is evenly combined. Season with salt and pepper if needed. Chill the spread for at least 30 minutes.
Serve with crispy crackers. This spread can be stored in an air tight container for up to a week.
