I hope you all are doing well lately! My blogs 3 year anniversary was yesterday March 13th, and I decided the day before to cancel my blog. I had already deleted my Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook page. But, today I realized I cannot part from this little blog of mine. I have put so many hours and time into making this blog work and could not bear deleting it.
I have been taking a break from blogging and it has turned into a longer break than I intended. The last blog post I posted was this one from November 2016. I can easily make up an excuse or say I was busy. But the fact is, everyone is busy, especially those with families and children. I have no excuse, if I wanted to blog, I could have made the time for it in the past year in a half. Truthfully, I have not been motivated to post a recipe. All of the recipes I post are those that I love to make and my family/friends request on a regular basis. Cooking and baking are my hobbies, and I know many of my readers also love to cook! I am not a better cook than any of you, I just loved reading blogs and wanted to have my own little spot on the internet to share recipes. I did not create my blog to make money off of it, but I did add the Google ads onto my website just to break even with the hosting blog fees.
Today, I am starting to rebuild my followers on social media. I would really appreciate it if you would follow me again on Instagram. I cannot use the same account name for some reason, even though it is not taken anymore. I hope I will be able to change it back to HerCupofJoy. Here is my new Instagram username HerCupofJoyBlog, please follow and share with your friends. Thank you!
Since almost losing my blog a few days ago, I have decided to rethink my posting frequency. I will be setting a new goal to post at least once a month! Please let me know if you have any recipe requests. Currently, my most popular recipe is the Simple Fluffy Sour Cream Pancake recipe and the Coffee Macarons Italian Method recipe.
